GOD IS MY EVERYTHING
Scripture: John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

The opening verses of the Gospel of John present a profound truth: God is the source of all life, light, and existence. When we declare “God is my everything,” we acknowledge that our very being, purpose, and hope are rooted in Him alone.

John 1:1-5 reminds us that Jesus, the Word, is not only with God but is God Himself. This connection assures us that God’s presence is eternal and unchanging. Everything we see and experience stems from Him; He is the origin of all creation.

Moreover, the passage speaks of life and light—metaphors for spiritual vitality and truth. In a world often overshadowed by darkness—sin, despair, and confusion—the light of God shines brightly. This light is life-giving and victorious, as the darkness cannot overcome it.

When we embrace God as our everything, we find meaning beyond circumstances, strength beyond our own abilities, and hope that transcends the trials of life. He is the foundation upon which we build, the light that guides our path, and the life that sustains our soul.

In conclusion, John 1:1-5 calls us to recognize and celebrate the central role of God in our lives. He is not merely a part of our existence; He is our everything. Let us live each day in the light of His presence, trusting that in Him, we have life eternal.
