Abundance Through Positive Thought, Speech, and Vibration

This book is about how your thoughts and words don’t just affect your reality, they generate your reality. Your thoughts and words are a quantum reactor for reality. The book largely details methods to achieve your best reality by thinking things into existence and speaking things into existence, always dwelling on the positive aspects of your life even in situations where it’s difficult for you to see the positive. The book also speaks about avoiding negative thinking, negative thoughts and negative behavior because this will create a negative reality. The strength with which you generate these thoughts and ideas, and how this renders a new reality for you is the philosophy of the Law of Attraction. The philosophical basis of the book is that humans are naturally blissful, joyous and abundant creations with the love and power of God inside of the. IIt is because of this that the Law of Attraction works, we just need to remember who we are through thinking and acting positively and our best reality begins to form. The book states that we are free beings who are here to seek joy and nothing is more important than feeling good. It also mentions we are largely vibrational beings that can choose our vibration at any time, and that we can be in vibrational alignment with God or “source” by thinking and speaking positively. The book mentions that if we do this, abundance enters our life. The most interesting part of the book for me is compartmentalizing different mindsets like being discouraging, being hopeful and being appreciative and their proximity to positive thinking and the law of attraction. Being revenge-seeking and discouraging are far from positive, being hopeful is closer and easy to do (“I’m looking forward to…” etc.), but the most powerful act and something the book mentions you should do everyday is to be appreciative of the positive elements in your life and it is through this that the law of attraction begins to unfold positively for you. The book states that being appreciative is the same vibration as love and we should be in this vibration as much as possible. Interestingly as it relates to money, the book states that there is a vibrational escrow of real wealth waiting for us and once we are positively aligned with source, we can begin to access it. An incredible exercise is to spend 1000 vibrational dollars multiplied by the day of the year (e.g. if it is the 100th day of the year, spend 100,000 dollars) to know that this escrow is real and also to attain the essence of what it means to have that thing. Many times we will realize that we may not want this thing in the first place, other times we will realize it is important.I think the things in this book are wholly true and resonate deeply with my core beliefs. This is one of the most important books I’ve ever read, right up there with Joseph Murphy’s The Power of the Subconscious Mind and Think and Grow Rich. The most important takeaways are the phrases one can use to frame positive thinking but most importantly the generalized concept that positive thinking and positive speaking create a positive reality, you should always look for things that make you feel good. The biggest takeaway is that you should tell a positive-feeling story about where you want to be everyday, visualize it and make lists of all the positive aspects in your life that you appreciate. 10/10 book.

    It Works!

    If you thought

    Ask & It Is Given

was an excellent book, you will think

Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness

is phenomenal. Ask and It is Given, the first Abraham Series book that I’ve read, provided a great introduction to the Law of Attraction. Money and The Law of Attraction provides a more in depth discussion of how to attract wealth, health, and overall happiness. It focuses on the importance of pivoting your thoughts from negative to positive ones–not only for the areas that require change in your life, but all of your thoughts. Abraham, the non-physical entity, that narrates the book, emphasizes that there are two sides to every story–one positive side and one negative side. It is important to learn how to view the positive side to every situation. He notes that in order to attract goodness in your life, you must “feel good.” Feeling good keeps you in line with your source spirit, “who you really are.” Good thoughts attract good thoughts attract good thoughts. And all of this attracts good energy. So it is important that you do and think thoughts that will cause you to feel good all the time. I really don’t think I fully comprehended the Law of Attraction until I read this book. When I read Ask and It is Given, I worked on trying to change my negative thoughts to positive ones only on the areas of my life that needed improvement. From this book, I realize how important pivoting, thinking only positive thoughts throughout my day, on every subject and situation I come across, will attract the abundance and happiness that I’m looking for in my life. I’ve read the book only a week ago, and already, I’ve noticed results. A close friend of mine commented that I seem to be a much happier person (and this is only after a week). Some doors that were previously closed are opening up in my life. I’m feeling so much more confident about myself and the goodness that continues to come my way.I’ve always thought with the self-help books that it’s important to not only discuss how great the book is, but also discuss some of the results. Results are really what people want to see when they invest in a self-help book. Below are some of the manifestations that I noticed a day or so after I started implementing pivoting into my life:RESULTS:1. I start some side consulting and already have interested clients.2. I am making significant headway on a small personal goal that required action from others. I thought my success with this goal was out-of-my-hands, but now I see that I’m bringing forth the attraction that is making things happen to my benefit.3. I’d been trying to open doors to an opportunity for almost a year, and then last week (a couple of days after reading this book and implementing its lessons) I received a phone call that has changed my life.4. Everyday, I look forward to the wonderful gifts I’m receiving and all it takes is just making sure that I feel good. What I have done to attract some of these positive things:1. Before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning, I speak my positive affirmations that I will make it my priority to feel good.2. In the mornings (and sometimes in the evenings before I go to bed), I write down all of my happy thoughts, great things that are happening in my life3. Throughout the day, I play the #1 process game (discussed in Ask and It is Given but I forget the name of the game) where I focus on things in my immediate environment that pleases me. Example: I love the color of that blouse. It reminds me of the color of the dress I wore to my first high school dance. Wasn’t that dance the most fun? Etc.4. When bad thoughts pop up, I tell myself that’s not in line with “who I am” and I think about something uplifting.5. I work on some of the other processes discussed in Ask and It Is Given.6. I constantly tell myself that I have a gift of thinking good thoughts and bringing happiness into my life.Once you start implementing the teachings in this book, it really begins to become second nature. And then start noticing the blessings coming forth. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Good even for the non-spiritual person

I’ve always looked at the Law of Attraction (LoA) from a non-spiritual point of view. Basically, if you think about something enough, you’ll probably end up doing it.That’s why I’ve always liked The Strangest Secret (1956) by Earl Nightingale version of LoA. It’s a very non-spiritual take on it. He compares your mind to a field and whatever you plant will bear that fruit. And it doesn’t care what you plant (good or bad thoughts, productive or unproductive thoughts, etc.), it will bear that fruit. But where Nightingale falls short is advice to the reader to take advantage of this knowledge. All he really suggests is to write what you want on a note card and to keep it with you. The problem is our real motivation in life to take action is an emotional one. You ran down your stairs as a kid to open your Christmas presents because of the emotions you felt. Looking at words on a card, even if they are about what you really want in life, doesn’t always stir those emotions and thus doesn’t always lead to action. This is where Abraham/Hicks excels (and I can see why many of their/her books get 5 stars and thousands of reviews). Not only does she focus on your emotions, she also gives you a almost a step-by-step guide and various exercises to use to help you to focus on what you want on a daily basis.I won’t list them here or give a summary as her writing does a much better job than mine in telling you why and how to do them. And probably any summary of this book will fall short of doing it justice. Just get it.Yes, you’ll have to read some of that woo woo New Age stuff (maybe it’s true, I don’t know), but there is solid advice here that any rigorous scientific study would validate as being effective in changing your life for the better.

    Amazing book, slightly misleading title

This book had been recommended to me a number of times. My mindset has recently come around to being ready to read this book. I loved it and marked it up all the way through. I’ve seen some reviews simply stating that ‘think positive’ is the summary, but the messages here are more nuanced that just that, along with the fact that thinking positive is a PATTERN we need to establish, so some additional repetition is actually a good thing as you go through this book. The repetition gives you opportunities to consider and reconsider how to approach your thoughts about your life, work, health, etc. The book spends a couple of sections introducing the concept, one shorter section talking about ‘money’, which is primarily the idea of adopting an abundance mindset vs a scarcity mindset (our thoughts are energy/vibration and attract similar vibrations). There’s a section on health, and a section on career. All are great. I look forward to reading it again. If the idea of vibrational alignment seems foreign to you, I’d recommend starting with The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. A great companion book to this is Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lipton, who explains the biological mechanisms behind vibrational energy.

    Quality Material

I guess my heading says it. The material is not only uplifting and well-written, but filled with very intelligent insight that you don’t have to just believe in order to recognize. That said, I would like to ask for a little help here from Abraham fans. This was my first Abraham book, and here and in a cd collection that I have, Abraham says that he recommends meditation, because stilling thought removes all resistance to your Source energy, and therefore, speeds the process of materialization.Do any of you guys know of an Abraham book or cd or dvd that actually gives instruction in meditation? Most of the techniques I’m familiar with from other teachers merely “freeze” thought through intentional focus on an object. But since intention IS thought itself, the state you create is still a separate, contracted state…even if it’s enjoyable. I’m just wondering if Abraham is teaching this kind of a directed process for meditation and manifestation, or if he is recommending an actual release of thought and intention temporarily…which produces a great relief, as all efforts of separation and focusing cease. For example, in this book, he talks about focusing on positive thoughts before sleep, because at times during sleep, thought rests completely, ending the law of attraction process, but opening you beyond resistance. Then, when you awake and resume your positive focus, you are much less resistive and your drawing power is more effective. So, I’m wondering, therefore, if Abraham’s type of meditation is more like this as well…really a dropping of thought and the attraction process in order to boost your power, which can then be added to your intention after the meditation. This is his advice regarding sleep at any rate, which is why he recommends focusing on the positive aspects of your life as soon as you wake up. It would also make sense to me, though, to have periods of intentional focus, like traditional meditation, since the law of attraction only operates when thought and intention is active. So, I’d like your help in locating some of Abraham’s recommendations regarding meditation in this teaching. Thank you 🙂

    Laughter and change

This is a fantastic book…but more than this, the CD radiates the zest, high energy and humor of the group known as Abraham. I have been a follower of the Hicks for a bit and have a couple of their works. The timing for being directed to this work makes me chuckle with the grand scheme of life. Abraham says that in coming to this connection with the work indicates a readiness of spirit. Funny how different styles resonate to our personal tastes and comprehensions. This one “gets” my attention in the most delightful way!! I like the idea that all is unfolding as it should and that there are and have been no “wrong” turns…This expression of life is but a tiny portion of who we each are. What a joyful book of love and possibility. The great aid is from knowing that our feelings are indicators of how close or far we are from our desired goals: just as the gas tank’s indicator, resentment, anger, and upset lead us to recognize that we are swimming against the current of the inner source. When we start “feeling” that we are in abundance, so that feeling of joy attracts all aspects that will enhance the emotion. This work is such a marvelous and delightful expression of love at its finest core. Once again reminding us that love and being from that point is the experience we desire. Some of the obstacles come in the form of rigid agreements not only from ourselves, but from others which make change a touch of an effort. The benefits of choosing to feel enthusiastic can occur immediately with the lightness of heart and soul resounding in the moment. The note is given that physical manifestation may take a little time in this universe of reality, but the inner reality is already on the new path. How magnificent!

    Wondrously Fabulous Book!

We have bought 14 copies of this book from Amazon. The book is so wonderful that we enjoy sharing it with friends and family, and we host a book-study at our home in which we take turns reading it aloud and then discussing it.This book explains, in a clear, comprehensive way, why events occur as they do. Jerry and Esther Hicks have been traveling the country for twenty years, explaining the immutable Law of Attraction via their group of non-physical friends called Abraham. This is a compilation of the meat and potatoes of the Abraham philosophy. The book addresses countless relevant questions and issues from a Law of Attraction perspective: how to manifest abundance, health, desired body weight, meaningful relationships, and a fulfilling career. It explains how our emotions – positive and negative – serve as an impeccable guidance system to notify us of how we’re thinking and thus whether we’re going towards or away from our desires. This is the second of four scheduled Law of Attraction books by Jerry and Esther Hicks. It was preceded by THE LAW OF ATTRACTION: THE BASICS OF THE TEACHINGS OF ABRAHAM. Hay House will next publish RELATIONSHIPS AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION and then SPIRITUALITY AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION.This is a brilliant explanation of how things work. I devote my blog, […] to exploring and pondering this book and other sources of the Abraham philosophy. I have also written a book, SOULSONGS, VOL. I, inspired by Abraham.
